A Great Scientific Factual Architecture :
It is also called Gavipura Cave temple an example of Indian rock-cut architecture.
It was built by Kempegowda, A feudal leader of Vijayanagar Emperor who brought revolutionary social reformers around Bangalore and he is the founder of Modern Bangalore city - this temple is built in the style of Vijayanagar Architecture.
The temple is famous for its mysterious stone discs in the forecourt and the exact planning allowing the sun to shine on two days
1) " Makara Sankranti " we call it as
" Uttarayana Movement "
2) And another day called
" Dakshinayana Movement "
On these specific days the sun rays will fall on the "Shivalinga" located inside the temple and It is mysterious and difficult to find the path of the sun rays which are getting reflected from and this temple was constructed in such a way to fall sun rays onto/into the garbha gruha only on certain times of the year (Twice in the year)
